Rinse and wring the sponge frequently and change out the water in the bucket when it gets dirty. Let the floor dry. Fill a bucket with warm water and using a green scouring pad give the haze a good scrubbing. Then spray the cleaning solution on the tile surface with a spray bottle.

Spray the tile surface lightly with water then apply your commercial cleaner. Acidic cleaners can be used to remove the grout haze off of ceramic and porcelain tiles which makes removing the grout haze relatively easy. Rinse the tile faces and grout joints with a sponge and clear water immediately after scrubbing each section. Grout haze remover it should be easy to clean up tile haze with basic gentle astringents such as a drop of mild dish washing soap in a gallon of warm water or a spray bottle filled with the standard straight vinegar.

If your grout haze refuses to come up with just warm water try a mixture of warm water and vinegar 50 percent of each. Use a haze remover solution instead to avoid scratching the tiles. Clean the sponge frequently as you work and replace the rinse water as it gets dirty. Clean the haze with a damp tile sponge.

Repeat the same process to scrub and rinse each small section of the floor until the entire tile installation is clean. Dilute the mild acid based cleaner with half water. For stubborn haze or haze that s had a little more time to sit this may not work. Scrub the grout haze off with a mop making sure you remove any excess cleaning solution on the floor.

If your tiles have deposits of grout or the haze will not scrub off do not scrub the tiles with more abrasive material. But sometimes a little grout gets left behind which creates a whitish haze. Stone tiles can not be exposed to acidic cleaners so specialized grout haze removers must be used which are not as effective as acidic cleaners for removing grout haze.

You may wish to dilute the product with water 50 50 before applying it to your tile surface. Scrub the tile in a single direction rather than moving back and forth or cleaning in a circular motion. Vinegar won t leave any residue behind which some harsher detergents can be known to do on tile. Dip a large yellow tile sponge in a bucket of water and wring it out.
