Many floor cleaning products have a wax that adds shine and gloss to a vinyl or linoleum floor. When wax builds up on vinyl and linoleum flooring it can result in a discolored yellow tone. Simply hold the ice cube in place on the wax for 30 seconds even if the wax has already cooled. If you re trying to remove wax from linoleum floors use diluted isopropyl alcohol to scrub the floors. Once the wax is nice and firm take the scraper or spatula and gently pry the wax off the floor. For tile floors remove the wax by mopping with ammonia laundry detergent and warm water. The original wax must be removed first.
