Cut the 45 degree angle on both sides from the short to short direction.
Cutting bottom of door trim.
Cut with the blade on the right 45 degree angle.
Then remove the door and use a straight edge and painter s tape to set up a perfectly controlled cut with a circular saw.
Take your time and let the saw do the work.
The bottom side of the door won t splinter because the saw teeth cut up into the wood.
Measure up the right side of the door to the bottom of the 45 degree angle cut on the top trim.

Mark the door for the cut.
Hold the saw against the cutting guide and check the position of the blade s teeth.
They should be just outside of the scored cutting line.
